Lucy was a dog rescued by Ah Fatt sometime back, together with her two puppies. Iris Ng, who read my blog posting, responded, and adopted Lucy, under the condition that she would try it out to see if Lucy is comfortable in her home.

Well....Lucy IS.

Here's updates from Iris:

Here's the very much delayed pic of Lucy.  She was really desperate to escape back to Ah Fatt the first day she arrived (see photo of cage below).  In fact, about a month after she was adopted, Ah Fatt and wife came by for a visit to see how Lucy was getting on.  She was extremely happy to see Ah Fatt.  After they left, she spent the entire night by the front gate waiting for Ah Fatt to return, whimpering and howling.  She was OK after a day or two and has not howled since.

Overall she's a great dog.  She's very afraid of thunder and the recent Hari Raya firecrakers sent her into a frenzy.  She was so desperate to run away from the noise that she somehow managed to escape through the fence/drain.  Since then, she was been escaping every evening and coming back on her own after a couple of hours.  Its not fear anymore, more of 'this is fun' and comes back later with a very satisfied look!  I've tried to put stones and aluminium sheets over the opening, but after a few days of figuring out how to escape, she somehow manages to find a way out.  I've now put a pot over the area, added more stones and scattered some anti dog/cat repellent around the fence area.  Lets see if this time it will work!

Rgds,
Iris

Lucy in her new home.

This is what Lucy did to the cage on the first day, trying to escape and go back to Ah Fatt!
