BURGER KING NEW ZEALAND SWITCHES TO 100% FREE RANGE EGGS!
Were delighted to hear that Burger King NZ has decided to phase out the use of eggs from caged hens, switching to using free-range eggs. John Hunter, CEO of Burger King New Zealand, said, We are delighted to announce, in partnership with New Zealands leading egg producer, Zeagold, Burger King will be the first large burger chain to move to 100% Free Range Eggs New Zealand wide.
In the US, other companies, including Starbucks, McDonald’s and Ben and Jerrys have also made commitments to shunning caged eggs in the region. These decisions are proof that it is possible for major companies to change their supply chain and, in turn, help to work towards phasing out some of the cruelest factory farming practices.
Now its our turn! We encourage companies based in Singapore to join this global shift and lead the change towards a kinder future for the hens in Asia.
If youd like to ask Burger King Singapore to extend their commitment to using free range eggs in Singapore, please write a note on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BurgerKingSG/?ref=un_c
