My name is Gecko and I am a girl of over 7� years of age. I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter here in Phuket, Thailand, after getting my leg caught in a barbaric snare. The agony I was in was unbearable and it was sadly too late to save my leg.

I was very scared of humans for a long time and I am still timid when it comes to meeting new people. But I do enjoy pets and cuddles with the ones that have been kind and gentle with me and have taken their time to get to know me.

I am not the biggest walker, as I only have 3 legs. But I surely enjoy the special time outside the run with my volunteer. I have a calm temperament and I like to relax in the shade and watch the world go by alongside my volunteer.

I don�t need a medal for my bravery, but I do deserve a home where I can feel safe. Are you patient and kind, do you have room in your life for a three legged lady that is timid like me? With time I will trust and love you. If I can open up my heart, can you?

I have heard great things about Europe, Canada and the U.S.. 3 years in a shelter are enough.
