UPDATE ON THE ABUSED DOG IN THE VIDEO FOOTAGE

We share everyone�s concern for the abused dog in the video https://www.facebook.com/maimunah/posts/10206220664824290?__mref=message_bubble that went viral yesterday. The SPCA was informed of this case yesterday morning, by a concerned member of the public. As we were greatly shocked by the contents of the video and deeply concerned for the dog�s safety, we referred to AVA immediately once we were notified.

We are relieved that AVA acted swiftly, facilitating the removal of the dog from the owner�s home. The dog is now under the care of the SPCA and we will continue to assist AVA with the ongoing investigations.

The SPCA condemns this blatant act of animal abuse and will work closely with the authorities for stern action to be taken against the perpetrator.

We thank everyone for speaking up on behalf of the animal.
