Cat Stuck In Fence

Stray Cat With Head Stuck in Fence Gets Rescued & Rehomed

Being a stray animal is really tough. Animals left to fend for themselves are never sure where their next meal will come from, are in constant danger of being hit by speeding cars, and with no supervision, they’re likely to get themselves into some sticky situations. Take this stray cat that was wandering around Los Angeles for example. Last week the LA Animal Services Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team came to this poor cat’s rescue after neighbors saw that the little one had gotten his head stuck in the fence.

While locals had reported often seeing this cat, nicknamed Midnight, “coming in and out of the fence without a problem” it looks like this time around, the cat had been wounded from BB gun pellets. Likely startled by the injury, the cat had gone through the wrong hole and ultimately got stuck in the wrought iron fence.

Thankfully, the rescue team and a vet technician were able to sedate Midnight and carefully free him from the gate with no additional injuries. Shortly after being rescued, the kitty was adopted by a loving family. Although unfortunately, Midnight is just one of the hundreds of homeless animals currently on the street, we’re glad that this story had a happy ending!

Do you want to be a hero to cats? Adoption is the way to go. There are lots of rescued, formerly homeless kitties for adoption on http://PetFinder.my. And remember — always spay and neuter your cats so they’re not adding to the stray population!
