Staring Into Nothingness

Have you ever wondered why cats can sit for long hours, just staring into nothingness?
Like so.
I don’t mean sleeping. Sleeping is sleeping.
I mean, like this. Just sitting and staring into nothingness. For hours.
Indy says humans try so hard to learn this thing called “meditation” by attending classes and so on and so forth, but cats….cats are meditating all the time. They are ever so mindful and alert.
Cats are not addicted to distractions – they don’t NEED to check their handphones every few minutes, they don’t need Facebook, they don’t need television. They are just there. In a mindful state. At all times.
And they just eat enough to sustain their bodies and after that, they are in a meditative state.
Maybe cats are enlightened beings since they can get into a meditative state at any time.
Yes, just sit and do nothing – what we humans try so hard to achieve (and fail miserably at).
EAT. SLEEP. MEDITATE.
Learn from the cats, folks.
There must be a reason why the ancient Egyptians worshiped cats as gods, right?
