I visited Mickey today and managed to speak with the vet. The vet said the prognosis is good, but not fantastic. During the surgery, there was a lot of urine welling inside already, and it was not clear where the rupture was but the vet suspects it is not at the end of the urinary tract but just before that. If this guess is right, then it becomes tricky.
If the rupture was right at the end, the urethrostomy can be done if need be, but if it's not at the end (as the vet now suspects), then nothing much can be done except to pray that the rupture will heal by itself.
So, we still need everybody's prayers, please.
Mickey did not appear to be as bright as he was yesterday, but perhaps he was just tired.
