FROM THE DEPTHS OF DESPAIR, YOU SAVED COCONUT

Coconut was found by a lady who feeds the stray cats in her neighbourhood. She was shocked by the condition of this cat she had never seen before. Both of Coconut’s eyes were protruding from her head to such an extent that she could not close her eyelids.

Street cats like Coconut struggle to survive each day. With no owner to take them to a vet when they are sick or injured, their only hope is YOU. To continue helping cats like Coconut, our Care for Cats Club urgently needs more members. Will you please go to https://www.soidog.org/en/join-the-care-for-cats-club/ to help now?

This poor girl’s eyes were severely infected, with rotting tissue surrounding them. Coconut was in a world of pain and was never going to make it without urgent help. The lady who found her raced her to our shelter but it was sadly too late to save her eyes, both of which had to be removed.

Who knows what Coconut endured that lead to this point? No doubt some terrible trauma caused this, but with no owner to care for her, she was left to suffer alone. She is lucky to be alive today.

Coconut’s story doesn’t end there however. We know her story touched many of you at the time, but nobody more so than Louisa in Pennsylvania in the USA. Louisa, who has already adopted a dog from our shelter, got in touch to offer Coconut a home. We recently waved goodbye to our beautiful white lady and here you will find some photos of her in her new home.

From the depths of despair and pain, Coconut’s life was transformed by the members of our Care for Cats Club. But with more and more cats in need of help, this life-saving club is in urgent need of more members. No amount is too small. If you love cats, please go to https://www.soidog.org/en/join-the-care-for-cats-club/ to save some of the ones that need you the most.

Thank you.
