YOUNG STUDENTS �SCOOT-ED�, BAKED AND SANG FOR THE ANIMALS!

For 15 years now, the ACRES Education Team has been reaching out to the public, hoping to change mind-sets and create a better world for animals. There are definitely ups and downs, but often we are able to reap pleasantly surprising rewards for the animals!

Between March and April, we were delighted to receive surprise gifts from Tanglin Trust School (Year 2), St Joseph�s Institution International (Elementary, Grade 3), and Sri Sathya Sai Society of Singapore. The youths from these places, whom we had spoken to earlier this year, put what they had learned from us into action!

Tanglin Trust School participated in a fundraising �Scootathon� for ACRES. SJI (Elementary) held a bake sale to raise money for us. Sri Sathya Sai Society put up a stage performance on behalf of ACRES, including a musical piece about keeping dolphins in the wild, reaching out to a large audience comprising teachers, parents and students.

We always feel thankful when people express their concern for animals through actions like these. They give us additional strength, motivation and hope to carry on our work for the animals. Thank you to all those who have helped and are still helping! Nothing drives us more than knowing what we�ve done is leading to a better world for animals.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
