A Rescue Attempt Last Night
Tweet |
Yesterday evening, we received a call from a friend who wanted to rescue a dog in Shah Alam. According to her, she is able to pat and touch the dog, but is unable to carry the dog and put him into a car. The good thing is, this friend’s neighbour has already agreed to adopt the dog. The dog also has a tag and collar and is believed to have been abandoned at an industrial area.
So, we contacted a friend who agreed to help.
The rescue attempt was carried out at 10.30pm. Three people were there to try to get the dog into the car.
After trying for more than an hour, the rescue attempt was unsuccessful so it was called off as it was getting too late.
We wish to thank the friend very much for helping and trying even though it was a last minute call and it was already very late at night.
It isn’t easy at all to rescue an animal, especially if the rescue is done by someone who is a stranger to the animal.
Very often, we receive emails asking us to “go pick up an animal” in a certain place. Granted, many people do not know that we are not a rescue team. But even if there are rescue teams, it isn’t easy to simply pick up an animal off the street. Animals will be very defensive, especially those who do not trust humans.
As for this dog, another try will be attempted again. We hope the next time will be a successful rescue.
