Wei Seong wrote to me sometime ago and asked if we could sponsor the spay-neuter of two kittens whom he had adopted from a rescuer. Our policies do cater for such cases, depending on the financial position of the caregiver.


Once adopted, the responsibility of caring for the animal lies with the adopter, but in our efforts to encourage people to adopt street animals (and not buy from breeders), we will support by sponsoring the spay-neuter if it is within 6 months of being adopted and IF the adopter needs the financial assistance.


So, Wei Seong brought the two kittens to our panel vet today. The photos below were sent by Wei Seong.

The vet examined both and advised that it would be better to wait until Lucas (being male) is older. For adopted males (who have the luxury of waiting), it is better to only get them neuter at about 10 months. This is to prevent the incidence of urinary tract infection later. 

Julie has already been spayed and Wei Seong has taken her home.

Wei Seong will give a donation to our fund to help the next animal. We thank him for this.
