HOT! HOT! HOT!!!
The recent soaring temperatures in Singapore have made our work at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) even tougher than usual, and we’ve also had to make sure that the animals in our outdoor enclosures have plenty of opportunities to cool off.
Here’s a glimpse of some of our “wild” residents who know how to beat the heat in such hot weather!
These photos were taken by our dedicated volunteers and staff who have been working selflessly during the heatwave. Working outdoors during this period is extremely taxing, with our animal caregivers having to contend with working in the heat whilst constantly keeping themselves hydrated to prevent succumbing to sunstroke or heat exhaustion.
Dear volunteers, we can’t thank you enough for your selfless contribution and contribution to the animals.
