FOR WEEKS, THE METAL CHAIN CUT INTO MY NECK�

Nobody will ever know who left me like this, wandering the streets with a metal chain so embedded in my neck that the muscle had started to grow around it. I am a little girl called Brauka and I am only about a year old.

Dogs like me have nobody if we don�t have you on our side. Without the compassionate animal lovers who funded my rescue and treatment, I would be dead now. I was found by a kind man who feeds all the street dogs in his area. He had followed the sound of my crying. Horrified when he realised how deeply that rusting chain was buried into my neck and the seriously infected wound it had caused, he raced me to the Soi Dog shelter.

Now that I am here, people like you are helping to get me better. With their donations funding my care and medical treatment, the vets are hopeful that I will make a good recovery. It could so easily have ended in tragedy.
