Vincent, Safe For The Night
Tweet | ![]() |
I was a little apprehensive about leaving Vincent caged up at the patio for the night. My worry is what if he needed to defend himself or run for safety and is trapped.
This worry also came about because late last night there was a huge rat in the garden in Bunny’s Place. I am totally baffled as to HOW to rat would even want to come into Bunny’s Place. I mean, don’t rats know that this is cat kingdom here and they should stay far away?
Anyway, my children heard a squeal (yes, poor, poor rat) and by the time they rushed down, Tabs was sniffing the (already dead) huge rat while Cow looked on from his (high) chair and Cleo was approaching it as well.
We don’t know who killed the rat….
So, you’ll understand why I am worried about leaving Vincent out at the patio defenseless in the cage.
I decided to set up the smaller cage and we’d bring him into the house.
But what do you know? I tried to take him out of the condo and he refused to come out! By late afternoon, Vincent had already taken a few naps in the condo, even used the litter box, so I guess he feels comfortable already.
But let’s play it safe. I won’t be able to sleep easy leaving him out at the patio, caged up.
Now, he’s whining again and he has to get used to this cage in this position but it’s for my peace of mind, knowing that Vincent will be safe. For Vincent’s safety too, of course.
Vincent ate dinner and almost finished all his food. I gave him turmeric too.
