Vincents Late Breakfast, Stomatitis In Cats, Etc.

All the cats had breakfast at 6.30am this morning and Vincent too came, but hid in his bush (the flower beds, that exact spot again). We had to carry him into the kitchen, but he didn’t feel like eating.
I only had a can of ID with me, so I opened that and mixed his crushed half tablet of Baytril with some ID, rubbed it onto his mouth, but that proved to be rather difficult to administer. I tried to open his mouth but he made that reaction where he resisted vehemently and wanted to bolt. We had to restrain him and finally with much difficulty, we managed to give him the medicine.
We then caged him with the food, but clearly, he didn’t feel like eating, so we let him go. We didn’t want to cage him for too long and stress him out because he might be so put off that he won’t want to come back anymore.
Later, at about 9.30am, Vincent came back!
I saw him sitting at the corner of the gate in the porch. Quickly, I brought out a bowl of Monge (mashed up) and was so happy that he ate heartily.
Eat, Vincent, eat!
The Birds came out too, and I had to restrain them.
I gave Vincent bit by bit, mashing it up in the can before dishing it out.
He ate up all except for the last spoonful because he had suddenly hit a raw spot and thus, bolted.
I read up on stomatitis in cats: http://www.vetstreet.com/care/feline-stomatitis. It describes Vincent’s condition almost exactly.
How a cat with stomatitis was treated: http://stomatitisincats.com/treatment-for-stomatitis
A friend shared that Transfer Factor had helped her cats with gum inflammation, so I’m going to give Vincent that.
I also bought Natural Balanced (mashed food) and Nutri-plus Gel (nutrients) for Vincent.
I hope Vincent recovers soon.
