SAVE THIS HORSE FROM THE BUTCHER

This horse named Cura ran away from her abusive Roma �owners� in Serbia. She was found running through the streets. Our teammate Du�an Stojanovi? has spent the last four months restoring Cura�s health. It�s been an uphill challenge as Cura is frightened of human touch. Du�an takes her for runs through the village every day to try to reduce her stress and build her trust.

But now Dusan is scared to lose her in the worst possible way.

�The owners have surfaced and want to sell the mare to the butchers,� Goran said in an email to the Harmony Fund international animal rescue charity. �This is unacceptable for us. We are stuck. On the one hand, we have a mare which we don’t have money to take care of but on the other hand, we can�t let the owners take her to the butcher’s. The only solution that we have is to buy out the mare from the owners. For this, we would need 700 Euros (about $777 American dollars). Once we buy out the mare, we will find her a home where she can grow old. She is really beautiful, healthy, young and strong girl and what happened with her is terrible. We need the money in next 7 days to realize this activity and save her from the butchers. Do you think you could help?�
