In case the font is too small for you:
The best way to consume turmeric:
Allow to cool. Keep in fridge, can be used for 2-3 weeks.
For dogs/cats: Take 1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon twice daily with food.
For horses: Take 1 teaspoon twice daily with food.
The medicinal and health-giving properties of turmeric are numerous, but for one, it reduces inflammation and inflammation is one of the major causes of many illnesses. I just read that FIV+ cats can be given this golden paste too, so I shall certainly be making this for Bunny and Tiger.
However, as with all supplements and new foods, please consult your veterinarian for advice.

Just as I’ve shared previously, the bio-availability of curcumin is increased manifold when turmeric is cooked with oil and black pepper.
I’m going to make this Golden Paste right now!!
I have all the ingredients because I boil turmeric rice all the time.
We are done!!
Want to try some, Rosie?
Okay, it wasn’t exactly very tasty, so the cats just took a lick or a smell and that’s that. I will mix it with their food tomorrow.
If it can help strengthen the immune system of FIV+ cats, then I’m really excited about this!
P.S. Mr Zurik and Heidi don’t like it. They salivated and ran away. But Indy seems to like it. Oh well, Indy is adventurous, whether with food or other things. He seems to want some more, but it’s only a pinch for starters. Should always ease gradually into new foods.
As with all good foods, there may also be side effects, please read this: http://draxe.com/turmeric-health-benefits/ and consult your doctor or veterinarian for advice.
