Best To Worst Foods For Your Pets

These are the views of the veterinarian, Dr Karen Becker. She has a list of 13 foods for pets, ranging from the best to the worst, in her opinion. It is interesting to note what No. 13 is (please watch the whole video – it is very informative) and this reminds me of some vets who are rather alarmed and concerned when clients say they feed their pets “home-cooked food”. And some clients tend to get defensive and even offended because they think their vets are against home-cooked food. The truth is, and this is what one of the vets told me, it is not that vets distrusts our home-cooked foods, they are just concerned, and rightly so, after hearing what Dr Karen Becker, lists as No. 13 (the worst possible food). Vets are concerned if our home-prepared food is nutritionally balanced and species-appropriate for our pets. Have we done enough research? Are we following a quality recipe?
Do listen to Dr Becker’s views and discuss this over with your veterinarian. And as the good doctor says, “If your food ranks in the bottle half, don’t beat yourself up”. See if we can move up the ladder?
We are, after all, what we eat.
So are our pets.
