I am an older girl of nearly 8 years of age now and maybe not as quick as I once was. Although I was managing to fend for myself, and was fed every day by a group of very kind people, my world came crashing down around me the day I was hit by the speeding truck.

My name is Ivah and I am lucky to be alive today. The accident left me with a terrible fracture to one of my back legs. When Soi Dog arrived to pick me up, I was shaking with fear and whimpering in pain. I didn�t know what lay ahead for me.

I needed something called surgery to fix my damaged leg, but that wasn�t the end of it. I have now been started on something called physiotherapy to get me walking again. It�s not so bad anymore; I have learnt to trust the people here.
