It�s Been Busy, Busy, Busy

Ever since we sought your help to help promote our merchandise and gifts by donation, we have had quite a number of orders. We thank you very much for this!

For the last week or more, I’ve been traveling back and forth to suppliers to get stock (and this is a good thing, of course!). Also, going to the post office daily to send the orders to our supporters.

More orders, to be collected this weekend!

We also wish to thank Agnes Cheong, for her unrelentless efforts in helping us with our blanket sales. Not only did Agnes go out to hunt for a monkey print fabric (we have it now!) and buy another bale of backing cloth for us (which is very heavy, by the way), she also managed to sell off SEVEN blankets in less than a week! Yes, we sold seven blankets in a few days!! Right now, in fact, I have to get back to my sewing machine to finish off another blanket for one of Agnes’ friends.

Blankets are a great source of funds for the animals because 100% of the donations go to the animals. All costs are absorbed; materials and workmanship are all donated.

Agnes also managed to help us sell off many tshirts. As you know, we are trying really hard to sell of our tshirts. The story of our current Hearts and Chinese White is that they were printed in time for the 2014 Wesak celebrations (white tshirts sell well during Wesak), but we could not get a booth at the temple anymore so we were “stuck” with stock. We currently have about 120 more tshirts to sell off and that is why we have lowered the price to RM20.

In bad economic times, we can no longer afford to pay upfront for stock. The tshirt stock has been paid for, so we need to recover at least our cost. We hope you can help us sell the tshirts too. There’s just Hearts and Chinese White left and we won’t be printing new tshirts for the time being. We need to consolidate all our cash to pay out the neutering aid (donations have definitely slowed down while claims have gone up).

As for our other merchandise, most of them are only taken when there are orders (so we are not “stuck” with unsold stock). It involves me making many trips back and forth to get stock, but this is certainly still better than having a “stockpile” of unsold stock. Some suppliers are also kind enough to let us take some stock on consignment.

We need to thank all the companies who have offered their merchandise to us for fundraising: Avant Pet (Monge and Primal), Adirondack (Orifera products), Bacoff, Bigcorp-A (Litna toothpaste) and WAYY (Path-Away and Ease Spray).
