I received this last night, at 11:57pm (near midnight):



There is a very young kitten near my house whose eyes seem to be unopened - don't know if she's blind -  and both her hind legs are disabled (maybe injured). I really don't know how I can help her and I don't trust myself to. Reason being, I had a rather bad experience trying to nurse an injured baby bird when I was young. My friends and I were trying to warm her up on a cold rainy evening in Camerons - the idea was to hold her in our palms over a gas stove. We took turns but when it came to me, the chick squirmed and I somehow let go & it fell onto the fire.  

Sorry if I sound like a coward but I don't trust myself to do this. Could you come have a look? I live in Pesiaran Syed Putra outside Seputeh across the highway from BMV B'fields. Tonight's the second night that this kitten has been crying for help.

As usual, most of the emails/smses/phonecalls I receive are from total strangers. KC Kong is a stranger to me. I replied telling him/her we are not rescuers but will provide medical treatment if need be.  I asked him/her to at least get a friend to pick up the poor kitten, send it to the vet and I'll blog for fosterers.  The least he/she can do is to pick up the kitten.

But this morning, it sounded like nothing has been done yet and from the photograph below, the kitten is still inside the drain.
