They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, onto a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.

I am a 5 and a half year old boy called Butch. I am a survivor of Asia�s barbaric dog meat trade.

Many dogs died on that truck with me. It was difficult to tell who was still alive – the unnatural silence all around was one of absolute terror. We were rescued when the truck was suddenly pulled over. This could never have happened without Soi Dog supporters like you.

I now live in a purpose built shelter with over 1,200 other dogs. Even after all I been through I still wag my tail when I see you; I still want to be patted. I have seen many dogs leave here for their forever homes. I dream that soon, it will be me.
