Position: Internship
Working Location: Malacca Field Site
Preferred Period: Between April to September 2016
Responsibilities:
1. Beach patrol (8.00 pm to 5.30 am) at nesting beaches in
2. Malacca to monitor and collect data on nesting turtles.
3. Assist in hatchery management activities.
4. Assist in community education and engagement activities.
5. Assist in collection of data on stranded turtles.
6. Assist in production of reports and collaterals.
Requirements:
- Undergraduates from any field can apply.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia as the work requires candidates to work together with local communities.
- Any involvement and experience in turtle conservation projects is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and do not have debilitating medical history.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team as well as work independently.
- Good understanding of current environmental and conservation issues.
- Computer literate (MS Word and Excel).
