FROM HEARTBREAK TO HAPPINESS: PEOPLE LIKE YOU SAVED FINCH

At just 3 years of age, Finch was blinded. Trying to survive on the streets, this beautiful boy was hit by a car, sustaining such serious injuries to both his eyes that he lost his sight. It is only thanks to people like you that he didn’t lose his life.

Will YOU please join the animal heroes around the world who fund life-saving medical treatment for homeless animals like Finch? http://bit.ly/Be_A_Hero_For_Stray_Animals

The severe injuries to Finch’s eyes meant they had to be removed immediately to end his pain. We cannot even imagine the trauma he must have felt and the fear and insecurity he was experiencing. As if that wasn’t enough, tests also revealed he was suffering from blood parasites and heartworm and again, people like you funded his treatment for these conditions.

Street dogs like Finch simply have no hope without people like you – the members of our Emergency Response Team. Without this group of people, Finch would most likely not be alive today. That is the sad reality for homeless dogs and cats that have no access to veterinary care when they are sick or injured. YOU are all they have. Finch proved to be a fighter and bounced back after his surgery and medical treatment. Unbelievably, despite all he had been through, he seemed to have a permanent smile on his face and greeted everyone with a big wag of his tail. It’s no surprise that a wonderful lady named Nancy, thousands of miles away in Canada, fell in love when she saw his picture.

We recently waved goodbye to Finch after Nancy decided to adopt him and he began the long trip to his forever home. Please enjoy these photographs of Finch’s journey from just after his surgery to the last two pictures which show him in his home. Thank you Nancy for changing this boy’s world and giving him a chance at happiness.

If YOU believe street dogs like Finch deserve better, will you please join the Soi Dog supporters fighting to save them? Your membership of the Emergency Response Team will mean so many more animals can be saved each year. Please don’t think you can’t make a difference to them – the reality is that you are all they have.
