THROWN AWAY BY THE PERSON I LOVED THE MOST

I never had a hope of surviving on the streets. Unlike all the other dogs here at the shelter, I am not a street dog. I don’t know what it is to be born on the streets and to live your life without anywhere to call home. My name is Elone. My story is different – but just as tragic.

I am a spaniel dog and the vets say I clearly had an owner at some point. I will never understand what I did wrong but I was dumped in the street when I was no longer wanted. It was shortly after that that I was hit by a car. I didn’t grow up with the skills I needed to survive as a street dog.

A kind person who found me brought me to the Soi Dog shelter. The car had caused serious injuries but sadly, the small shelter clinic did not have all the facilities needed to help me. Because of this, I had to go on another journey – to a private clinic with an x-ray machine. There they discovered that I had shattered my pelvis and dislocated my hip. I was in a world of pain and sadness.

I had to have extensive surgery to fix my broken body, after which I was returned to the Soi Dog shelter. After weeks of cage rest followed by physiotherapy, I am once again standing and walking. I have even remembered how to wag my tail. But my life will never be the same again.

Please help dogs like me get the dedicated hospital we need. Right now, seriously injured dogs are having to endure long journeys to undergo x-rays and ultrasounds because Soi Dog are having to use the same small clinic it has used since day one. It simply does not have all the facilities dogs like me need.

While construction continues on Thailand’s first ever hospital for stray dogs, much more support is still needed. YOU can help by becoming an Angel for Dogs today. By doing this, you will be helping to fund the completion of building work. You will be funding the purchase of specialist equipment and you will be ensuring the hospital is kept running, saving thousands of lives like mine each year.

The hospital has come so far but needs you now more than ever. Will you help? Please click on my picture to become an Angel for Dogs and end the suffering for sick and injured dogs like me. YOU are the only hope we have of getting the care we need.

Soi Dog’s vet clinic is far too small for the number of neglected, injured and abused dogs it cares for and dogs are suffering and dying as a result. Please donate about a dollar a day to help.
