Why would anyone want to eat mans best friend? Why would anyone want to subject me to such deliberate cruelty? I am a survivor of the Asian dog meat trade.

My name is Ruby; please give me a home. Email cristy@soidog.org to adopt me.

I was snatched from the street and crushed into a cage with many other dogs and driven away on a truck to cross the border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me.

Where were they taking me? I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border with the horror that lay ahead for us, they were the lucky ones.

I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. All the cages were taken off and we were released and put into a big truck and taken to a big shelter funded by people like you.

I am a sweet, affectionate, lively girl about 5 years old. I see many other dogs leaving to go to their new homes and I wonder if my turn will ever come. Will you please give me a chance to find my happy ever after?

Please email cristy@soidog.org and she can give you more information. I can easily go to the USA, Canada and Europe. Will you please adopt me?

Every week, Soi Dog Foundation sends survivors of the Asian dog meat trade to new homes around the world. The process is straightforward and we organise everything for you. Please email cristy@soidog.org if you can adopt.
