MEET WATNEY, OUR GREEN IGUANA

Watney is our most recently rescued green iguana. A fully grown adult male, he is shy and but pretty strong.

Since his stay at ACRES, Watney never showed the ability to climb logs in his enclosure. He kept staying on the ground. As a result, we had to feed him by placing food on the floor. We tried carrying him and putting him on the log but he would always come back down to the ground. However on Sunday, to our delight, Watney was spotted on the high log chilling away.

We can only guess that he has finally gotten used to his new environment and it now comfortable enough to climb the log structures.
