From Jessy Lian:
Dear Dr.Chan,
Do you still remember about Pretty Mama that I mention to you a few weeks back? She's another mother cat that I feed beside Mama X.
More than 2 weeks ago, I found her kitten's dead body under my dad's car (with her sitting next to it). I then buried it nearby down the road. She was so sad that she spend the next few days calling/crying out loud. I pacify her with Fussie Cat canned food, pat her and talk to her (eg: don't worry, everything's fine now, your baby is in better existence...etc)
Since then, I was thinking on let her be the community cat & get her spayed. But lately my mom had been complaining to me that Pretty Mama kept on intruding into our house compound. Because everyday my mom will let our two house cats to roam in our garden & was afraid that Pretty Mama will fight with our cats or transfer some diseases to them. Even before Pretty Mama came, I've already told my mom numerous time NOT to let them roam in the garden cos it's not safe & they might jump out to the road & get hit by cars, especially they are totally not street wise! Even my dad had also advice her, but all seems to falls on deaf ears. Actually, our cats had tried a few times jumping out through the gate & cause the whole family in panic search & rescued. Every time I though she would learn from it, but it seems not at all.
The first time my mom complaint to me & told me to send Pretty Mama to SPCA! I told her that sending Pretty Mama to SPCA meaning Killing her, cos adult cats are hard to be adopted & some more she's not young (a few of her lower teeth is loss which could indicate that she's more than 5 yrs old OR there is a possibility that she's a young cat with FIV)
So, now another option is to get her adopted. I really hope she can get a loving home & away from the street, and also get her spayed so that she no longer need to experience the lost of her kitten again.
Those interested to adopt Pretty Mama, can give me a call @ 016-2988 636 or email me at jessylian@yahoo.com
