INJURED AND DUMPED, THEN SOMEBODY TRIED TO KILL ME

I was already sick when my owner dumped me in an area I didn�t know. I had tumours on my belly and my shoulder, and was in desperate need of medical treatment. Instead, my owner decided he no longer wanted to care for me.

When he abandoned me in an area where nobody else wanted me either, somebody tried to kill me. My name is Torney and I will never know what I did to make so many people hurt me. The severe beating I received left me limping badly, but there were no witnesses.

Here at the Soi Dog shelter, everything is different. I am learning that I don�t have to be afraid anymore because everybody is nice here. Thanks to people like you, the vets are able to look after me. The tumours were removed with something called surgery and my wounds are healing well. I feel happy � and I have not felt this way for a long time.

YOU are a lifeline for dogs like me. The sick, the injured, the abused, and abandoned � there is simply nobody else who will help us if you don�t. This is what it means to be truly alone in the world. Can you imagine it?
