One of the best things a pet owner can do to ensure the overall health of their pet is to do routine checking of their oral health, so visit your vet annually for a dental check and scaling, if necessary.

The consequences of not taking care of your pets’ teeth can be severe and range from gum disease to tooth root abscess to organ failure from the spread of bacteria from mouth to vital organs like heart, liver and kidneys.
