YOU ARE THE ONLY HOPE FOR DOGS LIKE HER

My life has been lived on the streets of Thailand, like so many others. It hasn�t always been easy. I am just over 2 years of age now and arrived at the Soi Dog shelter in a world of pain. They call me Rungrawee and this is my story.

The day of the accident started like any other. I was hungry and just trying to find something to eat when I ran into a busy street. I didn�t see the car until I heard the scream of brakes, but it was too late. I was badly hit and will never forget the pain. In terror, I took off and nobody could catch me.

The next few weeks were bad. Without the medical attention I needed, the very serious injury to one of my back legs got a lot worse. I had a bad fracture and my leg was cut open down to the bone. It wasn�t long before infection set in and my leg became swollen and even more painful. My life was now in serious danger.

I was spotted one day by a kind lady. In desperate need of help, I had come back to the area. The wound on my leg was now infested with maggots as things were deteriorating rapidly for me. The lady ran to call Soi Dog and shortly after that, I was at the shelter.

It was sadly too late to save my severely injured leg, which had to be removed to end my suffering. Since the day of the surgery, I am adjusting well to having only 3 legs � and to knowing that I am now safe and will never be hurt again.

Dogs like me have no hope without people like you. Without the compassionate animal lovers whose donations funded life-saving treatment for me, I would not be here today. Their support has changed my world.
