THEY FOUND ME WITH MY EYE HANGING FROM ITS SOCKET

I had been viciously attacked by a bigger dog and my screams of pain echoed down the street. My name is Bassoon and I am only 4 months old.

Life on the streets is harsh for pups like me. I’ve never known what it is to have a human to care for me or a place to call home. Like millions before me, I was born on the streets of Thailand and destined to live my life there until that terrible day.

I was in unbearable agony when I was picked up by the people from Soi Dog. It was a race against time to get me to safety. Without immediate medical treatment, there was a very real danger that I wouldn’t make it. I cried the whole way to the shelter.

It was too late to save my eye. That terrifying attack had left it damaged beyond repair and it had to be removed. The wound from the surgery has healed very well and I am learning to live life as a one-eyed dog. It’s not so bad. I know I am safe and will never be attacked again.

I am just one of so many. Soi Dog is being asked to rescue more and more animals like me and simply can’t do it without you. There is no government funding, nobody else to turn to – YOU are the only hope we have. Will you please commit to ending our suffering?

A small monthly gift from you is all we have to rely on. Without that, we simply won’t make it. Thanks to kind animal lovers like you, I am alive today and making a good recovery. I dream one day of finding something I’ve never had – a home of my own.

Please think of the others. Without you, they are destined to live a life of pain and suffering. It doesn’t have to be this way and no amount is too small to change it. Will YOU please help because you are all we have?

Every day, Soi Dog Foundation picks up sick and injured animals in desperate need of medical treatment. With no government funding, we urgently need YOUR support to save them.
