Why would anyone want to eat mans best friend? My name is Jane and I am a survivor of the barbaric dog meat trade. Will you please ADOPT me?

Please EMAIL all questions to cristy@soidog.org

I was snatched from the street and crushed into a cage with many other dogs and driven away on a truck to cross the border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me.

Where were they taking me? I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border.

I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. None of us knew it then, but we were being rescued. All the cages were taken off and we were taken to a shelter housing dogs like us – survivors of the dog meat trade.

I am a sweet girl, about 3 years old. I see many other dogs leaving to go to their new homes and I wonder when it will be my turn. I am so soft in nature and I like to stay away from the more energetic dogs. Please give me a chance to find my happy ever after…

I would be happy to go to the USA, Canada or Europe. Anywhere where I can be loved and show you nothing but love in return.

Please EMAIL all questions to cristy@soidog.org She can make it happen for you and me.

Every week, Soi Dog Foundation sends survivors of the Asian dog meat trade to new homes around the world. The process is straightforward and we organise every step of it for you. Please email all questions to cristy@soidog.org
