They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with many other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.

I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border. I too was beginning to give up hope.

I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. We didn�t know what was going on, but we were all put on another truck and taken to a special shelter for dogs like us – survivors of the Asian dog meat trade. This is where I live now, with over 1,250 other rescued dogs.

I am a girl of about 4 years of age and long for a home of my own. I am playful and energetic so I would love long walks everyday. I am a sweet girl and do not deserve to be here. Please give me my forever home. Please help me to be happy again.
