Last month, Aimy Rashid asked for help to vaccinate 6 kittens under our subsidy. One was found to have diarrhoea and another had already been vaccinated. So, only four were done.
Yesterday, Aimy asked for help again, for the 2nd vaccination, and she asked if we could sponsor. She also asked for her other kittens.
We do not have the provision to sponsor vaccinations. We already provide free spay-neuter and subsidise medical treatment, which often ends up as sponsorship because some rescuers are not able to re-donate to our fund.
But to help her out with these four kittens who needed the follow-up vaccinations, I agreed to subsidise the vaccinations again.
We hope Aimy will be able to vaccinate these kittens on her own and also all her other kittens.
We hope rescuers and fosterers will at least bear the cost of vaccinations themselves so that we can concentrate on helping with spay-neuter and medical treatment.
A gentle reminder to all rescuers and fosterers - if you cannot manage so many, please know when you should stop and just concentrate on the ones that you are looking after.
Caring for animals should be about quality and not quantity.
