DUMPED ON THE STREET BECAUSE IT WAS TOO MUCH WORK TO CARE FOR ME

I was a cute puppy when my owner no doubt paid a breeder a lot of money for me. I am a Beagle and I am just over a year old now. At the Soi Dog shelter, they have named me Spangle.

I�m not sure when my owner decided he no longer wanted to care for me but I lived a life of neglect before finally being dumped on the streets. Alone and uncared for, I developed horrendous skin problems. I was starving and emaciated and over time, all my beautiful fur started to fall out. My body was covered in crusty, weeping sores from my constant scratching and I had severe anaemia from being so malnourished. I will never understand why my owner couldn�t love me as I loved him.

Thanks to people like you, the Soi Dog shelter could take me in and treat me. I was diagnosed with a severe case of demodectic mange and immediately started on treatment for that and the anaemia that had weakened me so much. I was fed and cared for; I was shown love for the first time in as long as I could remember.
