I am a survivor of the illegal dog meat trade. My name is Cumin.
I am looking for my forever home and a kind supporter has donated for some of my travel costs. Please EMAIL cristy@soidog.org if you can ADOPT me.
They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with many other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.
Where were these people taking me? I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border.
I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. All the cages were taken off and we were released and put into a big truck and taken to a shelter in northern Thailand. I now live in a compound with 100s of dogs.
I am about 7 years of age and friendly with people but a bit wary of other dogs. I just want to be loved and hope that you can give me a happy home.
If you have a place in your heart to adopt me, PLEASE EMAIL all questions to cristy@soidog.org
Every week, Soi Dog Foundation sends survivors of the dog meat trade to new homes around the world. The process is straightforward and we organise it all for you. Please email all questions to cristy@soidog.org
