NATIVE WILDLIFE RESCUE ROUNDUP: 13 NOVEMBER 2015

1. (Right) Queen, a reticulated python, was spotted by members of the public when she returned to her day resting spot a bit later than usual in the morning. She was seen at the bicycle parking area of an HDB block, which concerned some residents. Thanks to the police for alerting us, Queen was safely rescued for relocation.

2. (Top Left) Dew is a swift who, unusually for her species, landed on the ground and became stranded. Thankfully, it was Dew�s lucky day, as a kind lady picked her up and kept her safe overnight. Swifts are high flying birds, and do not feed or land on the ground. When they do get stranded, they need a good height to take off again. After fluids and a day of rest, Dew took to the air again!

3. (Bottom Left) Sunshine, a young paradise tree snake, was resting on someone�s furniture inside their house, causing a bit of panic. Thankfully, a neighbour alerted us, and also helped to explain to their concerned neighbour that these harmless garden snakes are commonly found where there is vegetation. At times, these garden snakes may venture indoors following prey animals such as geckos and other lizards. Sunshine was safely moved back to a suitable habitat.
