DESTINED FOR A VIETNAMESE DINNER PLATE – LOOK AT HIM NOW!

Barnie was moments away from unimaginable torture and slaughter when he was rescued. Snatched from the streets of northern Thailand, he was bound for a Vietnamese dog meat restaurant.

This is the reality of the Asian dog meat trade, where innocent dogs – many of them owned pets – are snatched from the street to fuel demand for dog meat in the countries that neighbour Thailand.

Thanks to the support of people like YOU, we were able to rescue Barnie. He was cared for with thousands of other survivors, until he was adopted by Kate and Roger in Scotland. The picture below is Barnie in his forever home – thank you Kate and Roger!

As you read this, thousands of dogs like Barnie continue to suffer – part of a barbaric trade that sees millions of dogs brutally slaughtered across Asia each year.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
