I have been through such a traumatic time – please ADOPT ME!

My name is Finch and I am looking for a new home. I have 50% off my flight costs thanks to a very generous sponsor! Please email teresa@soidog.org to adopt me.

I was found on a busy road having been hit badly by a car. My left eye was ruptured and my right eye was hanging out of its socket. The injury was so severe, the vets at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand had no choice but to remove both my eyes. Can you imagine, living in complete darkness? Especially after you have known light?

I cope well at the shelter. Surprisingly well in fact. I am a gentle and kind soul who likes nothing more than to be made a fuss of. I have a smile on my face all day too. I have been told I am resilient and brave, which I suppose considering what I have been through, I am.

When visitors come into my run, I follow their voices and I go up to say hello. They seem to like it although sometimes they cry when they see my face. They feel sorry for me, you see. I don’t want them to be sad. I am still alive and I am being very well looked after here.

It would be a shame though to spend the rest of my days in the shelter. It is my dream to experience family life in a home where I am loved. To be protected and looked after by good people.

Maybe you have experience of looking after a blind dog like me? Maybe you just have a lot of love to give and the time to help me adjust to life outside the shelter? Either way, I would love to hear from you.

Please email teresa@soidog.org to make this happen. I hope to meet you soon. I will be waiting.

Every week, Soi Dog Foundation sends rescued dogs and cats to new homes around the world. The process is straightforward and we organise all of it for you. Please EMAIL teresa@soidog.org for more information.
