Peggy Tiong brought Ginger to our panel vet and was suspected to have Cryptococcosis, a zoonotic fungal infection. The medicine needed was Itraconazole, and it was available at our other panel vet, so Peggy brough Ginger there.
BEFORE
Our other vet checked and found no fungus.Instead, he said it could be mastcell cancer or just an allergy and prescribed some creams and medication. Ginger was also given two injections.
So, Peggy applied those creams and gave the medication diligently and today was the check-up.
I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
NOW (after two weeks)
Amazing, isn't it?
Looks like it may have been just an allergy and not even mastcell cancer.
Now, even though one eyelid is half gone, the vet thinks this eye does not need to be enucleated!
Hooray for Ginger, and kudos to Peggy Tiong for all her hardwork, great efforts and love and care in managing Ginger.
Peggy says Ginger is completely adorable. He appears to be a lost or abandoned pet, and Peggy had noticed him (with the injury) since 6 months ago but he could not be caught until now.
Ginger's treatment is sponsored entirely by Peggy herself.
