DUMPED BECAUSE HE WAS NO LONGER CUTE

TO MY FORMER OWNER: I�M SORRY YOU COULDN’T LOVE ME

Maybe it would have been better if you�d never visited that breeder and picked me. Perhaps you didn�t understand that I would need medical care and vaccinations to prevent me from getting sick. I�m sorry that caring for me became such an effort – and that lack of treatment meant I contracted some terrible skin diseases.

I know you probably wished I�d remain as that cute beagle puppy you paid a lot of money for. I�m sorry I couldn�t do that, and it breaks my heart that you no longer wanted me and dumped me on the street. I was very sick with severe mange and I really needed you then.

My once beautiful fur was falling out in clumps, leaving me with bald patches all over my body. I was covered in crusty sores from my constant scratching, and I was weak and anaemic. It�s okay; I am safe now. I was found by a very kind lady who called Soi Dog.

I have a name now. They call me Spangle. And thanks to some animal lovers who read my story, I am finally receiving the treatment I needed for so long. My care is being funded entirely by donations � Soi Dog simply couldn�t help me otherwise.

I am slowly learning that I am one of the lucky ones. I have been rescued. I will never be hurt again. The vets are hopeful that with time, I will make a full recovery and will be a healthy dog once more.
