Lucy was found on the street by a man who brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified.

Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don’t know why. It is probably as a result of terrible trauma or abuse when she was very young – something she has sadly never forgotten.

Despite concerted efforts to socialise Lucy, she still remains very fearful of people; she runs away if you try to approach her and retreats to her corner.

Lucy seems okay with most other dogs and is happy to lie beside them if she’s in the mood.

A dog like Lucy will most likely spend her life here. She has been at our shelter for over 6� years and it is the only home she’s ever known.

To help dogs like Lucy, October has been designated Sponsorship Month. Caring for hundreds of dogs sadly costs money and we simply can’t do it without more sponsors.
