DOGS LIKE ME SIMPLY WON�T MAKE IT WITHOUT YOU

For four years, I have struggled. Four long years of sickness, hunger, and fear. Four years since the day I was born on to the streets of Thailand, like millions of others. My name is Matada and this is my story.

I was found by a lady who feeds the street dogs in her community. She could see how weak I was, how I was too scared to lift my head in her direction. Her horrified gaze took in my emaciated body, her concerned eyes counting each one of my protruding ribs. She ran to call Soi Dog.

I stood in that tiny clinic at the Soi Dog shelter, one of so many sick and injured dogs in need of treatment. I was scared and in pain, but I made no sound. When the vets examined me, I heard them talk of skin problems and worms. They used words like �severe mange� and �alopecia�. They talked of the desperate need for a dedicated hospital for dogs like me, somewhere to treat these terrible conditions which they are seeing more and more often.

There is currently nowhere for us to go. Without you, it will remain that way. As our numbers continue to grow, there is a very real danger that Soi Dog will be unable to treat us all and dogs like me will die. This is the sad reality of the current situation.

Please change this. Thanks to the Soi Dog supporters who signed up to become Angels for Dogs, building work has started on a new, state-of-the-art hospital for street dogs like me. This facility is so desperately needed but its existence is far from guaranteed.

Without YOU, building work will have to stop. Without YOU, it will not be possible to equip this hospital with everything it needs to treat the sick and injured street dogs of Thailand. Without YOU, this hospital will not continue running. Without YOU, dogs will die.

This situation can be changed, but only with YOUR support. No amount is too small to save lives like mine; every penny will make a difference. With YOU becoming an Angel for Dogs, sick and injured dogs like me will be given the second chance we deserve. Without you, we won�t.
