APS CHALLENGE HORTICULTURE FOR #ACRES
The Assumption Pathway School (APS) Challenge this year provided a platform for students to give back to the animal community. Students were tasked with creating terrariums, to be sold to to raise funds for ACRES.
In July this year, a group of APS educators volunteered at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC), helping with maintenance work and providing enrichment for the tortoises in our care. One month later, a group of APS students started their APS Challenge project of building terrariums to sell in order to raise funds for ACRES.
On the 7th of October, the ACRES Education Team supported the students at APS, as the sales launch of the terrariums took place. Our team delivered a presentation about Singapores native wildlife to the students, helping them understand more about the animals that will benefit from their fundraising project.
There are so many ways by which one can help animals. Our mission to end to animal cruelty has always been reflected in our various campaigns and education programmes. We could not have come so far without our valued supporters from schools, organisations and the community. Thank you to everyone who has helped us on our journey! Lets continue to work together for the animals!
