Like many of you, we are very disturbed by the footage of a man allegedly trying to bait an otter with a fishing hook at Kallang River.

We thank members of the public (including the person who filmed the footage) for reporting this to ACRES. We are in touch with AVA and PUB.

If you can help identify the man in the photo, it will greatly aid the investigation. Please contact ACRES if you have any information (info@acres.org.sg).

We have verified that the fishing line is no longer on the otter and there is no need to rescue the otter at this point. We will continue to monitor the situation.
