?????????????

Penang’s inhumane decision to cull all strays in response to the recent rabies outbreak had created the attention of many NGOs worldwide. Most, if not ALL are against the killing but sadly Penang decided to continue culling until the rabies vaccine arrives. In fact, they have increase their pace…working longer hours, involving more manpower to kill more strays. Is their intention really to stop rabies spread? Or is there a different agenda behind? It is most disappointing knowing that DVS and our Government has realise the ineffectiveness of culling but no decision has been made to stop it.

Animal Saver Hong Kong is organizing a public protest against the culling of Penang’s strays. We are truly touch by their action taken to fight for our strays here. If people from other parts of the world can show their concern towards our strays and value their lives, why can’t our own Penangites?

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
