FELIX, our fostered Chihuahua canine cutie (whom we posted on yesterday), is now available for adoption!

If you and your kind family members are ready to open your home, and hearts, forever to Felix, do contact our Shelter Supervisor at 62875355 ext 32, during office hours.

We require the adoptive family to be ready for, and have suitable experience with, caring for special needs dogs like Felix. (While the foster family, our shelter staff and our veterinarians have all helped at treating his skin’s condition, which has improved significantly since we’ve first taken him into our shelter, he may strongly require long-term attention for his skin;

he is otherwise perfectly healthy and would make a happy, loving and cuddly dog for his lucky family!)



Found, then fostered: FELIX, the Chihuahua Felix, a 2-year-old male, tri-coloured Chihuahua, was found neglected in a cage somewhere along Lorong Ah Soo, on 14 July 2015. He was found with a skin fungal condition, and was immediately treated and then observed by the SPCA�s veterinarians for a month, before being placed on our Foster Care Programme. A dedicated fosterer, Ms Simone Woodworth, kindly offered to help care for Felix as they embarked on a foster journey together, in late August. Simone gave the dog a warm and nurturing home environment to prepare him for his adoptive home. In her care, Felix�s skin condition improved tremendously. Following slightly over a month of foster care, he was reviewed by our veterinarians to have recovered and is doing well. Felix has been sterilised just prior to being quarantined in our shelter, and should be up for adoption soon.
