I am a 5 year old girl called Clove – and a survivor of Asias dog meat trade. Please email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me.

I have never known such fear I was snatched from the street and squashed into a small metal cage with many other dogs and taken away on a truck to cross the border. It hurt being in the metal cage with other dogs. Where were these people taking me? Why were there so many of us?

I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border with what lay ahead of us, they were the lucky ones.

I dont know how long we were on this truck of hell but finally we stopped for what felt like a longer time than normal. I heard lots of shouting and felt cages moving underneath me. Why were we being taken off the truck?

These people seemed different they were looking at us like they cared and were checking if we were OK. We were taken to a big shelter built especially for dogs like us that were rescued from the dog meat trade. I have never seen so many dogs.

I now know I am one of the lucky ones. If it hadnt been for supporters like you, Soi Dog wouldnt have been able to save us. We would be dead. Skinned alive and boiled for our meat.

I am a short-legged, lovely looking fluffy girl. I am shy of people and other dogs after everything I have been through. I would dearly like a chance to find my forever home as living here is quite stressful. I need a patient, loving adopter who can give me the chance to become the confident dog I once was.

Soi Dog want to help me find a forever home so if you have a place in your heart to adopt me please EMAIL all questions to cristy@soidog.org

Every week, Soi Dog Foundation sends dogs rescued from the barbaric dog meat trade to new homes around the world. The process is straightforward and we organise everything for you. Please EMAIL all questions to cristy@soidog.org
