Without YOU, There Is Simply No Hope For Her

A HARSH INTRODUCTION TO THE LIFE OF A STREET DOG

They call me Tarntawan. I am a young girl, only about a year old, and the street is the only home I’ve ever known. Every day was spent just trying to stay out of trouble, just fighting to stay alive.

I don’t think I deserved the vicious assault from the big dog who bit me, but as a street dog of Thailand, it’s each dog for himself. I am a shy, quiet girl and I never stood a chance in that attack. The other dog’s teeth sank into my neck, leaving me with two large bite wounds.

Over time, with no owner to take me to the vet, my wounds got worse and ended up seriously infected. I went into hiding, scared and in pain.

I was found several days later by a kind man and his wife, who feed the street dogs in that area. Although they hadn’t seen me for several days, I finally re-appeared when I could no longer take the suffering.

I had always been a scared, timid girl who wouldn’t approach humans, but by now the pain was too much. I walked up to these people and let them examine me. The nice couple immediately took me to the nearest vet clinic for emergency treatment and after that, I was transferred to the Soi Dog shelter.

Thanks to people like you funding my treatment, I am now in the care of Dr Eugene. He cleans out and dresses my wounds each morning. I am on special medicine for the pain and antibiotics to kill the infection. None of this would be possible for me without Soi Dog supporters.

As you read this, another street dog or cat is suffering. Sick, injured, abused or abandoned, they will simply die without you. Please stop this; you are the only hope they have. It doesn’t take a lot to make a difference – every penny added up to save me.

Will YOU be the person who saves the next suffering animal that has nobody else to turn to? Please click on my photo to see just how much of a difference YOU can make in the lives of vulnerable street animals like me. We simply have nobody else.

Every day, Soi Dog Foundation picks up sick and injured animals in desperate need of medical treatment. With no government funding, we urgently need YOUR support to save them.
